2nd Annual Oak City Swim School and Gypsy Divers Try Scuba

A try SCUBA experience for Oak City Swim School students

When: Sunday, March 26th, 2023 8:00am

Where: Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center, 3651 Bastion Lane, Raleigh NC 27604

Students of Oak City Swim School will be able to try SCUBA in the Gypsy Divers Aquatic Center’s pool. Each student will have a short classroom session before trying on a SCUBA system and hopping in the water! Students will stay within the stand up zone and safely practice breathing and swimming underwater. Students will be in groups of 8 with 3 different start times: 8:15am, 9:00am, and 9:45am. Required Documents

There are a few forms to fill out and submit BEFORE the day of the event. You’ll receive an email when your student’s account is ready to go and you’ll upload the documents there. Please note all forms must be actually signed and cannot be filled in with a cursive font.

  1. SSI Responsible Diver Code
  2. SSI Medical Form
    3. Please note that if your student has a yes on an item with an asterisk, they’ll need a medical sign off by an MD/DO
  3. SSI Youth Packet

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a swimming skill requirement?
You just need to be comfortable submerging your body! Classes will remain within the “just stand up” zone so you don’t need to be a great swimmer.
Who is charging my card and where does the money go?
You will sign up using the same system used for Oak City Swim School. This means it’ll say Oak City Swim School is charging the card. However, once processed, the money will be transferred to CNC Swim Foundation!
